Move In/Move Out Procedure and Elevator Key Security Deposit Form
Effective July 27, 2019, the Board of Directors adopted new procedures and fees related to moving into or out of the Canal Street Malt House. These fees apply to all unit owners and their residents. The purpose of this procedure and the associated fees is to insure minimal disruption to existing residents and offset additional costs borne by the community.
A non-refundable fee of $300.00 will be assessed for each occurrence (move in and move out), and a $50.00 security deposit for the elevator key. If the elevator key is not required, the $300.00 fee will still be applicable.
The elevator key will be provided for a period of 24 hours for the purpose of easing the move into/out of the Canal Street Malt House. The $50.00 security deposit is fully refundable and will be returned upon receipt of the elevator key by a representative of the Board of Directors.
Should any damage be evident as a result of the move, the unit owner or their tenant will be held fully responsible for all costs for the repair of the damage to the previous condition and will be billed by Pelican Property Management.
PROCEDURE
Contact the CSMH Board (csmhboard@gmail.com) and Pelican Property Management (support@pelicanmgt.com), at least three (3) days prior to the expected move.
Make arrangements to pick up the elevator key along with operating instructions.
Your security deposit will be refunded after you have returned the elevator key.
There are orange cones in the basement that you may put out early the morning of your move to keep a space open for the moving truck. This is not necessarily legal but we have not had a problem with it in the past.
During your move, it is extremely important that the Bank and Fawn Street doors are not propped open as this will damage the doors. It is just as important that the doors are monitored so that no unauthorized people gain access to our building.
Please be mindful of the other unit owners requiring elevator access by locking the elevator only when it is necessary.
Break down any boxes before depositing them into the trash dumpsters.
Take any Bulk trash items to the Baltimore City Bulk Trash Center at 2840 Sisson Street.
During your move, remember:
Be mindful of the other unit owners requiring elevator access by locking the elevator only when necessary, during the move and NOT during the hours of 7AM to 9AM and 5PM to 7PM on weekdays.
Do NOT leave the Fawn Street or Bank Street doors propped open and unattended as this presents a security risk.
Do NOT prop the garage door(s) open during the move as this will damage the doors and the unit owner will be responsible for paying for any associated repair costs.
Remove any items associated with the move from common areas.
Break down boxes before depositing in the trash room dumpsters.
Take any bulk trash items to the Baltimore City Bulk Trash Center at 2840 Sisson Street.
